The Breezy Fundamentals.......

I believe that there are three fundamentals if you want to be in the music industry, and they are: Dedication, Creativity, and Originality. Every artist (signed/unsigned doesn’t matter) should be aware of these three fundamentals, “…he who grasps them win [they become successful]; He who fails to grasp them loses [they become unsuccessful].”- Sun-Tzu, The Art of War.

Lil Breezy, a Jacksonville, Florida Hip- Hop artist, has definitely mastered the fundamentals. He is dedicated to his projects; he creatively produces, and writes his own lyrics; and he oozes originality from his corn rowed and locked* hair, to the way he delivers his verses. This Duval County native, and CEO of his own label, Certified Records, is sure to be a house hold name.

The “Real Nigga Radio” MIXTAPE King has been involved with music for the majority of his life, and he started with an interest in poetry that turned into a passion for Rap. He has made appearances on 106 and Park, Spring Bling, Ozone Magazine, Duval Street Magazine, and many more. Breezy has opened up for major artist such as Plies, Rick Ross, and Young Joc. He’s put out more than 5 mixtapes including The Take off Mixtape Series- it highlights Unsigned and Signed artist who are on the bubble of becoming the Next Superstars in the music industry. The Mixtape reaches across 50 cities, a couple of places overseas, and all over the internet. This talented artist has also been nominated 5 times at the Duval Diamond Awards; his new Mixtape, “Mr. Invisible”, will drop on Thanksgiving.

So as you can see, not only is he dedicated, creative, and original- he’s busy too. On a personal note, Breezy is professional, fun loving, and just really a down to earth person; he posses the true traits of a “Souljah”- Song Love Salutes You!

I even took a break from the show to see where I was going with this entire project, I even asked God to give me some sort of sign.

Well, guys he must have been listening because I got "Lucky".  Ladee Luck is now the new addition to Song Love A.D.W.M.  The Entrepreneur  is now the Co-host for the show, and she's also the founder of Higher Level Inc; she also does promotional work for Passion Parties and Club Venues.  This Jacksonville, Florida ( DUUUUUUUUUUVAAAL) native is smart, sassy, independent, well rounded, down to earth, and overall just fabulous!  WATCHING THE BET AWARDS WAS AWESOME! THERE WAS THE GOOD, THE BAD, and - YOU KNOW. HERE ARE SOME QUESTIONS AND OPINIONS ON THE AWARD SHOW


THIS IS ALL MY OPINION BY THE WAY, AND MY BLOG OF COURSE.

1) DID Nikki Minaj GET  A BOOB JOB??? Tits lookin a lil small girl- I'm just saying. 

2) The Game is coming back NEXT YEAR- YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

3) Alicia Keys is the cutest Prego lady I have ever seen. LOVED HER ON THE PIANO.

4) Good to see Travis Barker on the BET AWARDS- GLAD T.I. is back!!!!

5) I GOT A LOVE JONES!!!!!!!!!! REALLY wanted Nia Long and Larenz Tate to kiss though. 

6) Monica had a cool performance, but shoulder pads were too crazy. Deniece Williams  so glad she was there- happy to hear the original song!!!!!!!

7) Eminem's mic was way too low- THEY DID HIM WRONG IN THE BEGINNING.
B.O.B. WAS HOTT! 

8) I like how Kim Burell kept it Christian when she performed with Alicia Keys - YES! If I ain't got you JESUS!

9) Drake has the cutest baby pic. Jay-Z baby grad pic was CRAZY LOOKING.

10) I was not diggin the Kanye West performance- why was it so dark?  I couldn't wait to see him, but didn't see him at all. 

11) WTF  is up with CASSIE AND HER HAIR???!!!!!

12) Love Kiesha Cole but I was not diggin her " Air Planes" performance.

13)  Yaaay Drake performed and didn't look clumsy.

14) CHRIS BROWN did a fantastic job in honoring The King of Pop! I love him!  He almost made me cry

16) When  Tyrese sang his Teddy Pendergrass tribute, were those women really waving panties from side to side? BET was okay with that?

Jennings In the Doorway...

Mary Jennings aka Jennings is a Pop Independent artist; she draws inspiration from artist such as Imogen Heap, Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, Michael Jackson, Cold play, & Moby. She is one of the most descriptive, poetic, intelligent lyricist I have heard this year; Chris Watson couldn’t have said it better, "If Moby and Alicia Keys had a child, I believe it would be you [Jennings].”

“I believe that the difference between an artist and the average person is a fearless and relentless willingness to expose their quarks, oddities, secrets, and passions for all of the world to see and hear.” said Jennings. The sudden death of her mother would be the start of her musical journey, “This tragedy rocked me to the core, but there is so much beauty in what it allowed me to do,” she says. “All of my emotions came pouring out in the form of melody.”

Jennings is another “Rising Star Artist" brought to you by the Music Maven;  her single “Doorway” is a haunting yet catchy song that will get stuck in your head. You should also check out her cover of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” on her MySpace music page. I didn’t realize the song until I heard the chorus- Jennings really made this her own. Jennings is a talent that can’t be denied; she may only stand at 5ft1, but she is a magnetic and powerful vocalist. I wish this artist all the best in 2010!

Greetings- Great News!!!

Greetings Everyone!!!!!

Happy New Year, and I have exciting news to share with you for the year 2010, but first I’d like to Thank all of you so much for following/subscribing to Song Love; I really appreciate your interest in my blog and Independent artist. On May 26, 2009 this was a blog about artist I couldn't get enough of ( Raphael Sadiq, Dwele, Queen Ifrica etc), but one day (can’t remember when exactly) I decided to be a bit different and write about independent, and unsigned artist.

Now, at the beginning of 2010, I’m making more changes. I’m blowing the dust off an Associated Content page I’ve had since 2006 and using it to review Independent albums, Films, and webisodes; Song Love will only be reviews on one particular song I enjoy by Independent artist. The blogs will be much shorter, better edited, and focus more on the music.

I’m also excited to announce that by the end of January (I’ll announce the date later) this blog will have its own internet radio show: Song Love A.D.W.M. (A Different World of Music) playing the best independent, underground, and unsigned artist. My Co-hosts will be Dancer/Choreographer Rosalind “Sweet Pea” Haggins, and entrepreneur Tasha “Ms. T” Lofton; we’ll interview artist, have an advice segment, discuss hot topics, and just have fun. Currently, I’m in the process of completing my website, and it will be designed to give Indie artist information about this blog, the Associated Content Page, and the internet radio show along with other interest geared toward assisting Indie artist.
